A new law that would offer 20 years protection instead of the current 15 years protection has been drafted but yet not enacted.<br /> <br /> This new law was also drafted to provide a fair prerequisite for compulsory licensing. </p> </td> </tr> </table></td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top"><p>The Trademark law No 57 of the year 1939 is also yet to be amended in order to enhance the legal protection for trademarks and industrial designs.<br /> <br /> However, some changes have been made to the Copyrights protection in Egypt.
